Ans. The perfect time to visit Sundarban is from November to February. But you can visit any time throughout the Year.

Q7. How can I rent a houseboat using FTS Stay?

Ans. First of all you have to go to the website of foodtravelstay.com to download the mobile application of FTS Stay or you can simply download it from the Google Playstore. You have to register your profile where you have to add some necessary information like your Adhaar Card details and Pan card details. Then, you can search the location of Sundarban from the location searching option. Then you can choose your desired houseboat according to your choice. Pay the charges and then you are ready for an unforgettable experience.

Q8. What are the packages?

Ans. There are two types of packages available.

First for one day touring:- For one day touring, i.e. only visiting the outer and some inner parts of the Sundarban, we have one day touring package, where the guests have to pay the charge of one day touring. Yes it is to be mention that Food charges and the forest permission charges are not included in this. Guests have to pay the forest permission charge and food charges(if needed).

Second the night packages:- For those who wants to stay in the houseboat at night, there are night packages available. Packages like 2 days+ 1 night package, 3 days+ 2 nights package and so on are available which the guest can choose from according to their choice. In this package, Food charges and forest permission charges are included.

Q9. Which kind of food you supply in the Houseboat?

Ans. There are welcome drinks, dinners, lunch and breakfast available. When you enter the houseboat, you will be welcome by the welcome drink followed by the breakfast. There is a kitchen available in the houseboat. The chef will make food according to your choice (both veg and non-veg).

Q10. What about the drinking water supply?

Ans. The staff of the houseboat will arrange mineral drinking water at the start of the journey. They will arrange water according to the number of days of your visit.

Q11. What types of boats you provide?

Ans. We have many varieties of boats. There are three beds, four beds, and five beds houseboats available. You can choose according to the number of persons.

Q12. How many people can visit in a single houseboat?

Ans. For touring purpose only, we can take 30-40 people with houseboat. But for night stay, people can rent a houseboat according to the number of persons.

Q13. What are the charges?

Ans. First of all charges may vary according to the season and the number of people renting the houseboat. During November to February, charges are high because this is perfect time to see the Great Royal Bengal Tigers.

Let us consider you are 4 people. If you are renting the houseboat for only one day touring then the charge is Rs.5500-10000 for the whole houseboat.

Now, if you renting for night stay, then charges are like 5000-10000 per person (depends upon the number of days of your visit, season of your visit, type of houseboat you choose and the number of people).

Q14. Where is the Pickup and Drop location?

Ans. By Air- The nearest Airport is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Airport, which is location in Kolkata. From there you have to book a cab or you can take a train.

By Train- The nearest major Railway station is Howrah and Sealdah, which is also in Kolkata. Then you can take a train to Canning Railway Station, which is the nearest local railway station. There are many local transports available which will drop you off Godkhali, which is the pickup and drop location.

By Road- Godkhali is connected by well managed road. You can book a cab and come to Godkhali.

Sometimes pickups and drop arrangements are available up to Canning and Kolkata.

Q15. What about the cancellation policy?

Ans. Yes, you may cancel your booking any time. But, there are cancellation charges which you will find on the website of foodtravelstay.com.

Q16. What if I want to extend my booking period?

Ans. For this, you have to contact FTS Stay. If the boat is free for that period of time then you can extend your booking after paying for those days in advance.

Q17. Is there any child policy?

Ans. There are some discounts for the children who are 6 years or less.

Q18. What about the security issues?

Ans. We follow all the guidelines and all security norms which are prescribed by Forest department and Inland water transport Authority. We have taken all the security measures that need to be taken during a Jungle visit. All houseboats are equipped with high security. There will be guards who will protect you at the time of night stay. We recommend not to let your child free on the houseboat.

Q19. Is there any Tour Guide available?

Ans. There will be a Chef, a driver and a staff will be present. The staff will guide your tour.
